Professional Background of Colin C. Laitner

Colin Laitner is an attorney and real estate developer with Metis Capital – a subsidiary of Deeter

Investment LLP. His development experience covers A through Z: that includes initial

inception of concept, feasibility, transactional, legal and planning stages, all build phases from

ground up to finish out, and through the sales and lease up process to closing. He is an

experienced Real Estate, Corporate Structuring and Finance and Tax attorney also licensed in

real estate by the Texas Real Estate Commission.

Mr. Laitner has a diverse array of transactional, legal and developmental experience that includes

sales, mergers and acquisitions, ground up project development, and ongoing operational roles in

many of such projects. Mr. Laitner has personally overseen over $65 Million in transactions for

Metis Capital’s parent company, Deeter Investments LLP, and has been responsible for post-

closing investor oversight, compliance, tax reporting, obtaining all financing and the like as

applicable.

Representative Projects and Transactional Experience:

  • •Sheldon Cove Corporate Center – Lead Developer and Director for a Office/Flex Commercial Condominium Development in Central Austin
  • •Deeter Mazda – Executive Manager. Directed all acquisition, due diligence, and transactional challenges for acquisition, including manufacturer approval process. Also responsible for oversight of operational compliance, accounting, tax reporting as well as 2015 Asset and Real Estate sales.
  • •Pop – Legal Representative. Responsible for all legal, financing, and project manager for lounge on West 6 th Street in Downtown Austin.
  • •Nook Amphitheatre – Legal Representative. Responsible for all legal, financing and project manager for outdoor music venue build on Historic East 6 th Street in Downtown Austin.
  • •Tortuga Flats – Legal and Project Manager for Mexican Icehouse concept in Round Rock

 

Prior to being brought on at Deeter Investments, Mr. Laitner worked as an attorney in Chicago,

Illinois with a corporate finance and tax focus where he represented clients with varied needs

corporate organizational work, contract review and negotiation, representing clients in state and

federal court, including Tax Court and US District court, in Bankruptcy and before the IRS.
